  • Passionate, curious, fun SLT wanted to join our dynamic team of paediatric professionals!
  • Flexible working arrangements that are family friendly – including negotiable school holidays, use of vehicle, and professional development hours.
  • Flexible case load of face to face therapy, as well as training and coaching of staff, built around your skills and passions.

We are seeking a Speech and Language Therapist, who is passionate about working in a school setting with children and young adults who have a range of learning needs. Vast opportunities for ongoing professional development and growth will be part of this role, with autonomy and support to choose the areas of interest you would like to grow in.  This role is suitable for a new grad, or an experienced therapist. We are a small school with a big heart, with a roll of less than 100.

You will work within a small, vibrant, and knowledgeable transdisciplinary team of professionals including occupational therapists, physiotherapists, music therapists, kaitohutohu, and teachers.  We are tightly linked to other agencies who are dedicated to providing the best outcomes for children and young adults.  We are a supportive, fun, enthusiastic and curious team, and not afraid to explore new ideas. Come join us with your passion and commitment to creating a great team environment and school.

Our school is an innovative organisation, always seeking new and better ways to support our students to learn and achieve.   We are globally connected to other specialist schools and therapy services, as well as maintaining strong local links within Hawkes Bay.   We have a commitment to Te Tiriti, and to working collaboratively with whānau, our local schools who host our off-site satellite classes at both primary and secondary level, and our community.

As our school is on various sites, a current driver’s license is essential.
